It starts with a reward β but it's about something much bigger. The Trail Pass is our way of recognising and rewarding people who protect the Lake District: picking up litter, camping responsibly, helping others, and giving back to the land they love.
Members who complete ethical hiking challenges earn a Trail Pass, which they can redeem at our growing network of partner establishments. Each pass is a small thank you β and a way to drive support back into the local community.
Modern & Secure: Our new digital Trail Pass system provides members with beautiful, mobile-optimized passes featuring QR codes for easy redemption. Each pass displays the member's name, challenge completed, partner information, and has a 30-day validity period.
Real-world impact: Our growing community of 30+ members have already completed litter picks across the Lake District, with more joining every week. We're building something special here.
See what our members are up to - real challenges, real impact, real stories from the Lake District
"Found this bag of rubbish near the summit. Always carry a spare bag for picking up litter - you never know what you'll find up there! The views were incredible but the litter really spoilt it. Happy to have made a difference."
"Met a couple who'd lost their way near Helvellyn. Spent 20 minutes helping them get back on track. Always happy to help fellow walkers! They were really grateful and it made my day too."
"Cleared a blocked drain on the path to Catbells. Small job but makes a big difference for everyone who walks this route. The water was backing up and causing erosion - all sorted now!"
"Just redeemed my first Trail Pass at Stable Coffee Lakes! The team were so excited to see it in action. This is exactly what we hoped for - real rewards for real impact."
Real numbers from our growing community of ethical outdoor enthusiasts
The Fell Good Club started as a simple idea: what if we could encourage the good behaviour we already see on the fells and reward people for caring about the places we all love?
Founded by Rob, a longtime Lake District hiker who got tired of seeing litter on the peaks and irresponsible camping damaging the landscape, this grassroots movement has grown into a community of like-minded outdoor enthusiasts who believe in leaving places better than we found them.
We're not about preaching or pointing fingers. We're about building a positive community that makes ethical hiking rewarding, social, and fun. Every challenge completed, every piece of litter picked up, every act of kindness on the fells makes the Lake District a better place for everyone.
Join us, and be part of something that's making a real difference in the place we all cherish.
